Whether you're a hobbyist, a serious audiophile, or simply a sound enthusiast, you've probably heard of an audio equalizer (EQ) and its role in sound processing.
But did you know that mastering an equalizer can improve the sound reproduction of your music, recordings or even podcasts and allow you to find the settings that best suit your ears?
In this article, we explain how to activate and use an EQ with our Octavio Maestro connected speakers .
Practical Information: No matter your configuration, whether you are in mono or stereo, it is possible to use the Octavio EQ directly in our Octavio Virtuose application.
Step 1: Enable EQ in Octavio Virtuoso
Once you have your device or speaker configured to your Wi-Fi network, head over to our Octavio Virtuose control app.
To activate the equalizer, simply go to the device tab located on the central banner at the bottom of your application. Once your speaker is selected, you will be able to activate the EQ by clicking on the "Mode" button.
Step 2: How about choosing one of our presets?
Once activated, many possibilities are available to you.
First, you will be able to choose one of our four pre-defined settings. These are settings designed especially for you and your needs. You will be able to enjoy:
In a Discreet mode
For your low volume listening. Ideal for having a drink in front of the fireplace.
From a Cinema mode
To watch your favorite movies and series in the best possible conditions. The bass will thus be optimized.
From a Party Mode
For your loud listening and wild evenings. Dynamic music will be all the more electrifying.
From a Lounge mode
It allows listening at a moderate level while maintaining the intelligibility of music and voices without ever being disturbing.
Step 3: Go even further by customizing your settings.
Our equalizer also allows you to fully customize your settings. You will be able to find the configuration that enhances your installation.
Simple mode
By selecting the custom mode, you will then be able to control the main frequencies: Treble, Midrange and Bass. In fact, you will then simply have to “play” from left to right with the bands, in order to accentuate or attenuate the different frequencies.
- By changing the treble, you can change the brightness, clarity and lightness of your songs.
- By changing the mids you can influence the presence of instruments and vocals.
- By modifying the bass you can add depth and punch to your tracks.
Advanced Mode
If the simple mode is not enough for you, don't worry. Octavio Virtuoso's EQ also has an advanced mode.
Composed of 10 bands ranging from 31Hz to 16kHz, it offers you much more complete and precise customization.
This will allow you to modify the dB (Decibels) of each band and create unique settings adapted to your music.
Note that you can save and compare your different settings.
In conclusion
By using our EQ, you can maximize the capabilities of your speakers and improve your audio experience. Available on all your sources (streaming, analog and optical) In addition, do not hesitate to experiment and adjust the position of your speakers according to your room and your preferences.
