Déco

What will be the decor trends for the end of 2024?

Quelles seront les tendances déco de cette fin d’année 2024 ?

"Happiness is within oneself, at home, around oneself and below oneself." Henri Estienne.

Trends are constantly changing and evolving, whether through colors, shapes, materials or atmospheres. The Maison et Objet show places science and the technological improvement of one's home at the heart of the trends for the end of 2024. New challenges are emerging, connected devices are present but discreet and blend into the decor. What matters today is comfort and utility .

We remember only too well this Covid period which forced us to stay at home and which opened the doors to teleworking, which has also developed well today. We now spend more time at home.

Since then, we have noticed an increase in teleworking in homes, which has completely changed the design and organization of housing. We now want it to be functional and comfortable, pleasant and refined. Personal space is superimposed on the workspace. The goal ? To make it as pleasant as possible.

We notice that the decoration of our interior is an important thing, that it soothes the mind and allows better concentration, so we seek to optimize it.

1. Rounded curves

This year, rounded curves are in the spotlight. Comforting, soft on the eyes, but also comfortable, they allow you to contrast with the furniture with pointed or square edges that we are used to seeing.

The curves reinforce the “bubble” aspect of the rooms and therefore make it a space that aims to be cocooning .

This same rounded aspect is found with the Maestro speakers which, in addition to having a neat design, allow you to extend your bubble space to the audio!

2. Vintage with the 70s and 80s

If you think your grandmother is totally has-been, you're kidding yourself! And yes, fashion and decoration perpetuate a cycle and what was no longer fashionable yesterday can totally become fashionable again today.

The watchword is FUN , whether it's geometric shapes, bold colors or assumed maximalism, have fun!

3. Connected technologies

In 2024, technology is integrated into our interiors. And yes, the more we move forward in time, the more our daily lives are filled with connected objects that prove to be useful whether professionally or personally. In order to integrate them into our daily lives, the designers of these objects put themselves in the shoes of interior decorators and produce elegant , simple but effective , and above all durable visuals. The goal is for these technologies to blend in with as many different styles of decoration as possible.

Our Maestro speaker is the perfect example. With its Light wood aesthetic, its other modular Black model and their straight support , it tends to adapt to a maximum of interiors.

4. Japandi style

What is Japandi? Japandi is a trend that will combine Japanese aesthetics and the cozy side of Scandinavian furniture.

With this trend we focus only on the essentials and ignore the superfluous. We also find a desire to decorate the space with natural materials. The predominance is wood, but we also add plants for a gentle return to nature!

5. Arty decor

Do you like art, whether it's contemporary or modern? Then the arty style trend is made for you! The principle is simple: highlight art throughout the rooms. Whether it's through multiple paintings that match your furniture or the furniture that matches to give pep to the room, anything goes . The trick is to play with the harmony of colors, the placement of the paintings and the size of their frames.

What should we remember?

This year's trends are quite ecclesiastical, between vintage, cultural mixes, the desire to highlight art and the integration of technology in the world of decoration, everyone finds something for them!

Octavio products, beyond their technological and auditory performances, prove to be just as legitimate when we talk about decoration. Their refined design, their sober colors and their durable and qualitative materials will allow you to combine functionality, auditory experiences and visual serenity.

Maison et Objet has understood all this well, which is why Octavio will participate in the next edition of their show dedicated to the organization of interior spaces from September 5 to 9, 2024 in Paris .
