Why Ban Bluetooth Streaming

Streaming audio en Wi-Fi

Music has been a daily part of our lives for many years, and the technologies that support it have continued to evolve. Today, Bluetooth speakers are found in the vast majority of homes. However, streaming audio over Wi-Fi offers many benefits that can help facilitate and improve your listening experience.

Your music without interruption

Unlike Bluetooth, which has a range of about 10 meters, Wi-Fi can reach over a hundred meters. Its greater coverage allows you to move freely throughout your space while maintaining control of your music.

Especially since once streaming starts, your phone can be disconnected from the Wi-Fi network or even turned off without the music stopping.

This is because streaming music over Wi-Fi does not rely on a direct connection between the smartphone and the streaming system: it uses the internet and your Wi-Fi network to communicate. The smartphone then only serves as a remote control; it is the streaming system that receives the music directly from the streaming platform servers.

Other sounds, such as notifications or calls, are therefore only played on your phone and not on your speakers.

A multi-control

Anyone connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your system can take control of streaming music without other users having to log out or interrupting the music.

Multiroom

Unlike Bluetooth, Wi-Fi offers the possibility of creating a multi-room system, allowing you to play the same music simultaneously in different rooms of your house, but also to play different music, at different volumes, depending on the atmospheres you want in each room. You can then move freely around your space while continuing to listen to your music.

The entire Octavio product line uses Wi-Fi sound technology that lets you enjoy all of these benefits, giving you a smoother and more flexible listening experience.
